Alison CT - Dragonfly Collage

Hi everyone,  today I'm sharing an art journal page created using catalyst cards and stamps. I have collaged some of the catalyst card and other papers to create the background.
To begin, I cut the background catalyst card, from set 3, to fit my journal page.  I blended vintage photo distress ink around the edges before gluing to the page.
Next, I ripped a vertical strip from an old book page and two horizontal strips of old music manuscript. Again, I blended vintage photo around the edges. I used collage medium to glue them to the page.
Next, I cut three rectangles from the front sheet of A5 catalyst cards and 3 rectangles from the A6 front covers. I edged these with vintage photo.

I glued these to the page with a mix of matte medium and one or two layers of double sided tape, to give different collage levels.
Next, I stamped the largest dragonfly and the word onto cream card with Versafine Clair acorn.
I coloured the dragonfly with distress watercolour pencils then cut it and the word out. I edged both with vintage photo.
I added a sketchy border to the word using a gel pen.
I, then, glued these to the page with matte medium.

Products used:
Old book page
Old music manuscript
Cream card
Distress Watercolour Pencils
Versafine Clair Acorn
Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Thank you for taking a look.

Calee CT -Free as a Bird

Hello all , this week I have double page journal spread for my step by step . This is a small 12x12 cm journal so creating on a double page gives a little more room for playing .

My first step was to add some texture to my page through this leaf D’inkable from set 14 with some texture paste .

Next I added some random paint stripes and splatters with Calypso Teal and Island Parrot Dylusions shimmer paints, adding a little to the leaves also .

The next step was to stamp out my main images . I stamped this bird and the sun from the Doodle Art Rainbow Birds on to this bright catalyst card from set #2 .

Next I tore  sections from the catalyst card , picking out some of the smaller elements , to use on my pages .

Using a white gel pen and red paint pen , I gave my pages a stitched boarder and added some doodled hearts .

Next I completed my page by glueing down all of my stamped and torn elements and one of the sentiments from the Rainbow Birds set . And because I can’t resist and bit more white pen on a black page . I added a few more dots and doodles !
              Thank you for stopping by.
                  Happy crafting

Sally CT - Collage inspiration

Hi There! I am here with some inspiration for the June Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook Challenge today, where the theme is Collage.

I began by tearing and sticking scraps of Catalyst cards over a 4x4" panel of mixed media card.

Using a tag inkable I added a little Black Soot Distress oxide
I also added a little Peony Blush Dylusions paint.
On a separate piece of card I stamped, coloured and cut out the larger daisy from the sketchy flowers set.
I added this to the background using matte medium along with some wordy stickers.
Here is the finished panel again. This could be stuck into a journal, added to a 5x5" card or made into a coaster.
I used:
Matte Medium
Tag inkable from set 3
Wordy stickers - I used set 3
Versafine Clair Black ink
Ecoline pens

Alison CT - Dancing Daisy

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this card using distress inks to create a background and to colour the Dancing Daisy image.

To begin, I cut a matt to fit a 5 x 7 inch card. To create the background I smooshed the yellow distress ink onto the large square supper skinny slim. I then spritzed this with water before placing it, ink side down, onto my card. I repeated this with the pink and blue inks. I left this to dry to allow the inks to blend into each other.

Next, I inked the whole of the script stamp with the blue distress ink and stamped it centrally on my background. I then drew a freehand double birder around the script area, using a sekura pen.
Next, I die cut the second from smallest tag from the die set. I stamped some of the script background on to it using the pink distrsss ink and edged it with black pen.
On seperate card I stamped both of the Dancing Daisies. I coloured them with distress ink and a wet paintbrush, following the technique Bev did on try it out Tuesday this week.

I also stamped the smallest bird from Journaling Essentials 6. I cut these images out.
I glued the small flower to the tag. I then punched a hole and added some matching bakers twine.
I glued the background to the card blank and added the large daisy to the right of the card.
Next I added the tag using foam tape.
Finally I stamped a sentiment, cut it out and added it to the card, along with the small bird.

Here's another look at the final card.

Products used:
5 x7 card blank
White card
Distress Ink - picked raspberry, fossilized amber, mermaid lagoon, lucky clover
Versafine Clair nocturne ink pad

Thank you for taking a look.

Sally CT - Clean and simple stamping

Hi There! I am here with a very simple card this morning.

I began by stamping a curvy line of the small flower across the page in 4 shades of versafine clair inks
Next I used the freehand border stamp to add some pink lines below the line of flowers.
I stamped the sentiment in Hawthorn Rose ink in the top white section and sponged a little ink around the panel. I also added gold centres to the flowers using a gel pen
Finally I attached the panel to the front of a 6x4" white card blank.

I used:
Versafine Clair ink - I used Bali Blue, Baby Pink, Arctic, Very Peri and Hawthorn Rose
Gold Gel Pen
6x4" white card blank and white card 5.5 x 3.5"
3d foam pads

Alison CT - Using up Bits and Bobs

Hi everyone, ever time I get new products from Bee Crafty, I stamp lits of each new stamp before making samples. I never use all that I create and these get put in a box to use later. Later rarely comes, as I forget what is in the box.
I also save all the off cuts from the catalyst cards, catalyst papers and old book pages. So today I decided it was time to use some.
To create the background, I tore up pieces of left over catalyst card, catalyst paper and old book pages and collaged them, using matt medium, to create a colourful page. I left this to dry naturally.
To give the pieces some cohesion, I blended uncharted mariner distress ink through the circles inkable big one.
Now I had my background, I searched through my box of stamped images and chose the ones I wanted to use. As the background was bright, I decided to colour the images with Ecoline watercolour pens. I decided to leave the cogs white.
I used matt medium to glue the images to the page.
Finally, I cut down a sentiment from the wordy stickers, added them to the page and drew a freehand line around the edge.

Products used:
Journaling Essentials 1
Circles Big One
Ecoline pens
Uncharted mariner distress ink

Thank you for taking a look.

Calee CT - Grid Journaling

Hello , for my step by step this week I thought I would show you how I created this journal page with a grid journaling feel .

First I had a look through my catalysts cards and chose these from the #3 pack with varying colours. These would be use for my blocks of colour .

I then cut my papers into a selection of squares and rectangles , adding them to my journal page to create my grid .

My next step was to give each block and my page a doodled boarder using a black fine liner pen .  Then I added a little stenciling randomly in some of the white spaces using Spiced Marmalade distress ink and an D’inkable from set 2 .

Using some of the smaller stamps from clocks stamp sets I stamped over my blocks of colour.

My next step was to stamp out some of the clocks on to white card.

I then cut these out leaving them monochrome , but did add some colour with 3 butterflies from the Birds and Butterflies Art stamp set .

All of these stamped elements were add to my page along with the Time sentiment from the Time is Free set .

Finally I took a green and pink Posca pen and added a few dot and heart doodles .
This is my finished page with a grid journal feel , thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting
Calee .
Here is a list of the products I used
A black fine liner pen, green and pink Posca pens and a black ink pad .
